Memorial Day - Ottertail Lake

What a difference a few hours make. The first picture is a morning shot with the mist rolling across the lake as observed with steaming latte in hand.








Here is the afternoon picture taken the same day except we have 80 degrees and sunny as viewed from the deck.

First Curve Ball

Got up at 4AM to get down to the airport for the flight. I was looking forward to the big seats, a little breakfast and a few tunes on my ipod.

Curve Ball. Flight was canceled out of Wisconsin and I was moved to a US Air flight that was taking off in about 8 minutes on the other side of the complex. Julio the gate agent seemed to think I would not have a problem making the flight. "You will have plenty of time." I passed on this option.

Instead booked a Delta flight leaving at noon. Bought a pass to the NWA world club to relax grab some wifi and a cup of liquid coffee. Putrid coffee but the rest of the experience worked.

Now am routed through Atlanta. Good thing I don't check bags or it would have been a horror show trying to run down my duffel. Instead of poolside at 5:00, we will be lucky if the bar is still open. The good news is that we will land today an still make the tours for tomorrow.

Costa Rica Touring Schedule

Day 1: Travel Day: Poolside in Heredia with Cubans and Imperial beers

Day 2: Tour Doka Coffee Estates (not a great web site, too cluttered) then head to the Poas Volcano in the afternoon. More Cigars.

Day 3: La Paz Water Falls and Rain forest touring. Visited in 2002, spectacular.

Day 4: Canopy and Zip line touring in the rain forests.

Day 5 and 6 in San Jose doing the city touring. More cigars.

Costa Rica Coffe Tour

I will be leaving on Saturday AM at the 0:dark:30 to head to Costa Rica. Joining me with be a coffee crew of vendors and clients to tour coffee farms and get a general feel for the Central American culture. We will mostly be in the San Jose area and not venturing to the coasts. Instead we will be staying close to the coffee farms, volcanos and rain forests.
