Gran Best pic of the trip; love the big toys for boys...you reminded me I hadn't spoke to my friend Captain Dave Ratte. He's hoping for a a commnad in Portugal or some other place nearby. I asked him about his naval experience in Panama and he said it had never been on his tour. But, according to some of the stories he heard, it was the typical nonsense we hear about so often. "Yankee go home" was replaced with "Yankee come back" after all of the milcon projects stopped, the jobs went away and a sure thing industry was no more. He's claiming that we are in a huge planning stage for West Africa...not sure how bad I want to travel there to sell office furniture.
Keep having fun man, I added Guam and Saipan to my itinery - understand they have some great diving there. Too bad I wouldn't have the first clue of what to do...however, touring the Japanese caves from WWII is an amazing experience.
